RESIN-BOUND IN BRIGHTON

A Premium Finish That Suits Brighton Homes

Brighton homes lean hard into outdoor living, so the surface out front has to handle sun, sand, and everyday traffic without looking tired.

Local Surface Assessment

Base condition, slope, drainage, thresholds, edges and access are reviewed for the property.

Retain a Suitable Existing Base

Stable concrete or asphalt can often be retained after assessment; unstable bases remain outside this resurfacing service.

A Project-Specific Schedule

Preparation, size, access, weather, curing and material availability all affect timing.

UV-Stable Resin System

The resin is selected to help reduce yellowing; natural aggregate and outdoor finishes can still vary and weather over time.

WHY GORILLA

Why Brighton Homeowners Choose Us

Choose a resurfacing option on evidence: suitability of the existing base, preparation, drainage, access, intended use and a clear written scope.

Choose From the Current Colour Range

Compare selected samples from 29 aggregate blends, with natural variation expected in stone aggregate.

UV-Stable Resin System

The resin is selected to help reduce yellowing; natural aggregate and outdoor finishes can still vary and weather over time.

Installation and Cure Are Site-Specific

Timing depends on preparation, size, access, weather and cure. Keep people off for at least 24 hours and vehicles off for 48 hours, or longer if advised.

Drainage Is Assessed With the Site

The surface layer is porous, but overall drainage depends on the existing base, falls, outlets and site design.

First suitability question Is the existing hard base stable and suitable to retain? Does the slab or base need removal and reconstruction? Does the supporting base suit a jointed paving system?

Drainage The surface layer is porous; complete drainage depends on the base, falls and outlets. Ordinary concrete relies on designed falls, outlets and site drainage. Drainage depends on the base, joints, falls and outlets.
Movement and cracking A crack-reduction membrane is used where required; no overlay is crack-proof. Movement and shrinkage can affect slabs; performance is site-specific. Individual units can move or settle if the supporting system changes.
Appearance Hand-trowelled natural aggregate; 29 blends with natural stone variation. Appearance depends on the selected concrete finish and specification. Appearance depends on the selected unit, pattern, joints and edging.

FAQs

Brighton Resin-Bound Questions, Answered

As an initial budget guide, straightforward qualifying residential resurfacing may fall around $172–$200 per m². Final pricing depends on site assessment, total area, base condition, preparation, access, edges and finish. A minimum project charge based on 20 m² applies.

Gorilla Surfaces uses a UV-stable resin selected to help reduce yellowing. No outdoor finish is fade-proof, and natural aggregate variation and normal weathering can affect appearance over time.

Stable concrete is the preferred base and suitable asphalt can also qualify. Stable pavers are considered selectively. Cracking, movement, drainage, levels, edges and access are assessed before an overlay is recommended.

For a suitable stable base, Gorilla Surfaces normally specifies an 18 mm driveway layer. Loading, edges, preparation and site conditions are assessed before suitability is confirmed.

A crack-reduction membrane is used where required to help reduce crack reflection, but no overlay is crack-proof. Active or ongoing base movement may transfer through the finish or make resurfacing unsuitable.

Installation timing depends on preparation, project size, access and weather. Keep people off the completed surface for at least 24 hours and vehicles off for 48 hours, or longer if advised.

No outdoor surface is non-slip. Wet-use suitability depends on the proposed application, installation, drainage, cleaning and conditions. Gorilla Surfaces does not claim an AS/NZS 4586 classification without relevant project evidence.

The resin-bound surface layer is porous, but whole-area drainage depends on the existing base, falls, outlets and site design. An overlay over ordinary concrete is not a fully permeable system.
