About Gorilla Surfaces

South Australian resin-bound surfacing specialists for driveways, pool surrounds, paths and outdoor surfaces across Adelaide.

Adelaide Resin-Bound Resurfacing Specialists

Gorilla Surfaces is a South Australian resin-bound surfacing business working with homeowners, builders and commercial clients across Adelaide. We focus on a single product family, resin-bound stone surfacing, and the outdoor problems it solves well: tired driveways, slippery pool surrounds, broken pathways, and entertaining areas that no longer match the home.

Gorilla Surfaces is positioned as Adelaide resin-bound resurfacing specialist. We use that positioning to signal our narrow focus on one surface system and a process-led approach to getting the base, detailing and finish right.

We are based in Adelaide and work across metropolitan South Australia. Resin-bound is what we do all day, every day, not a side service alongside concreting or landscaping. That focus matters because long-term performance depends heavily on how the base is assessed, prepared and detailed before any resin goes down.

Why We Started

Why We Started Gorilla Surfaces

The three of us, Liam Meacham, Alexander West and Ben Reynolds, had each spent years watching the same problems repeat across Adelaide outdoor surfaces:

  • Driveways that crack within a few years of being poured.
  • Pool surrounds that become awkward to walk on after wet summer use.
  • Pathways that need repeated weeding and edging.
  • Tired concrete that is structurally fine but visually past it, where full demolition feels like overkill.

Resin-bound is one of the few surface options that can address several of these problems at once when it is specified, prepared and installed correctly. We started Gorilla Surfaces to deliver that finish properly in South Australia, with careful site assessment, considered base preparation and clean installation standards.

Our Approach

Specialist Resin-Bound Surfacing for South Australia

Our work is built around suitable base assessment, quality resin-bound systems, selected natural aggregate blends, premium European aggregate options and clean installation standards. We also offer exclusive aggregate blends available through Gorilla Surfaces, with selected stone ranges not commonly available through standard Australian paving suppliers. Availability depends on project specification and supply at the time of quoting. Every project is assessed on site before quoting because the long-term result depends on what sits underneath the finished surface as much as the finish itself.

When specified well, prepared on a suitable base and installed correctly, resin-bound can offer a seamless natural stone finish, strong slip resistance where specified, reduced weed pressure, and drainage-friendly design support with the right base and drainage approach. When installed over a suitable permeable base and drainage design, resin-bound surfacing creates a fully permeable surface system. Permeability depends on the full build-up, not only the top layer.

We use qualified language for a reason: the performance of any outdoor surface depends on site conditions, design, base quality and maintenance. We explain what is realistic for your project during the on-site assessment.

What We Stand For

How We Work

Every project is treated like it is on our own home, with consistent delivery standards from quote through hand-over.

Clear Written Quoting

We assess on site before quoting, then provide a clear written scope, inclusions, materials and conditions.

We specify UV-stable resin systems and natural aggregate blends suited to Adelaide's climate and outdoor use.

Workmanship Guarantee

Eligible installations are backed by a written 10-year workmanship guarantee, with terms explained clearly before work begins.

Project Types

Driveways, Pool Surrounds, Paths and Commercial Surfaces

  • Residential driveways: New driveways and resurfacing where the base is suitable.
  • Pool surrounds: Seamless natural stone finishes with strong slip resistance when specified correctly.
  • Patios and entertaining areas: Outdoor resurfacing that connects home and garden.
  • Garden paths and access routes: Firm, smooth pathways suited to landscaped spaces.
  • Commercial and council projects: Strata, retail entries, pathways and tree surrounds to specification.
  • Custom design work: Borders, inlays, colour transitions and feature detailing.

In suitable overlay projects, resin-bound surfacing can often be installed without full demolition of the existing concrete or asphalt base. Where the existing base is suitable, resurfacing can reduce the need for demolition, skip bins and extended disruption.

We work across metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding South Australian areas including Burnside, Unley, Norwood, Prospect, Glenelg, Mitcham, North Adelaide, Hyde Park, Kensington, Goodwood, Magill, Campbelltown, Henley Beach, Brighton and Blackwood.

Process

How We Work With You

  1. You get in touch by phone or web form and we confirm project fit.
  2. We complete an on-site assessment of base condition, layout and finish options.
  3. You receive a clear written quote after the site visit.
  4. We schedule installation to suit your project and site conditions.
  5. At hand-over, we explain care and provide guarantee documentation for eligible work.

Many projects are ready for light foot traffic within around 24 hours, subject to weather, temperature, resin system and site conditions. Vehicle access timing depends on the project specification and curing conditions.
