Who We Are

A Local Team Focused on Better Existing Surfaces

Gorilla Surfaces is an Adelaide-owned company established in 2026 by local founders Benjamin Reynolds, Liam Meacham and Alexander West. We install resin-bound finishes over suitable existing surfaces, giving property owners another option when an outdoor area looks tired but may not require complete demolition and replacement.

Our work includes driveways, walkways, garden areas, pool surrounds, patios, commercial surfaces, tree surrounds and custom detailing across Adelaide and surrounding areas.

Our Story

Why We Started Gorilla Surfaces

Across Adelaide, many driveways, paths and outdoor areas have been in place for decades. They may still have a serviceable base, but age, repairs and a worn finish can leave the property looking dated.

We saw room for another approach. Resin-bound surfacing is well established in the United Kingdom, yet it remains relatively unfamiliar in Australia. We established Gorilla Surfaces to bring that resurfacing option to Adelaide and help customers understand where it works, where it does not, and what preparation is required.

We source resin and aggregate through UK-based specialist The Resin Mill. Product selection is only one part of the result: the condition of the existing base, preparation, drainage, installation and maintenance all matter.

The People Responsible for the Work

Each founder has a defined role, with Ben leading field decisions and installation, Liam managing enquiries and quoting, and Alexander leading marketing and business systems.

Ben Reynolds

Co-founder & Operations Director

Ben brings 22 years of building experience to Gorilla Surfaces, including owning and operating Adelaide Heritage Renovations and Adelaide Property Restorations. His background across construction, renovation and restoration informs how the team assesses an existing surface before recommending resurfacing.

Ben conducts site assessments, makes product and technical decisions, leads and supervises installation, controls quality and completes customer handovers. He is also the technical reviewer for the website's installation-related guidance.

Liam Meacham

Co-founder & Sales Director

Liam is often the first person customers speak with. He manages incoming enquiries, client communication, supplier relationships and the preparation of quotes, with Ben confirming the site and technical scope.

After a project is accepted, Liam remains involved in communication and works with Ben on aftercare and warranty enquiries so decisions stay with Gorilla Surfaces.

Marketing & Business Systems

Alexander West

Co-founder & Marketing Director

Alexander has worked in digital marketing for approximately five years, including operating his own marketing business. He leads Gorilla Surfaces' marketing, online presence, lead-generation systems and broader business strategy with Liam.

Alexander's role is behind the scenes rather than on installation sites. He is responsible for making the website and customer journey clear while Ben reviews technical installation content before it is published.

How We Work

Clear Responsibility from Enquiry to Handover

Site Suitability Comes First

Ben reviews the condition, stability, falls, drainage, flatness, thresholds and access before the team confirms whether resurfacing is appropriate.

Scope Before Installation

Liam prepares the quote with Ben's technical input so the agreed preparation, finish, exclusions and project requirements are clear before work begins.

Founder-Led Accountability

Installation is led and supervised by Ben, with employees and contractors used as required. Gorilla Surfaces remains responsible for quality control and handover.

Business Details

A Public Point of Accountability

Gorilla Surfaces is a mobile service business. We visit customer properties for site assessment and installation rather than operating a public showroom. Our normal service area extends approximately 40 km from Adelaide CBD; larger projects outside that area may be considered individually.

General enquiries, project communication and aftercare remain with Gorilla Surfaces, even where additional team members or contractors assist with installation.
